Day 1: S Corner

Opening hours: Daily
Admission: Free

It is located along the main road to Brinchang town, before the Kea Farm. Specifically, at the 'S'-shaped corner where you can see Cactus Point signboard, hence the name. Easily identifiable.

Aside from strawberry, it is unique for its mushroom farm. Credit to Always Travelicious for her blog review.

Yes, the cafeteria is owned by a Chinese muallaf.

It was on our wishlist because hubby is a fan of mushrooms. :)

We did not however see the cultivation process and self-pick. But yes, they are available at the farming plant.

Ganoderma Lucidum or Lingzhi (Chinese) or Reishi (Japanese) mushrooms.
For medicinal purpose, used widely in traditional Chinese medicine.

I think this is fungus mushroom.  No?

The wide-spread grey species is called oyster mushroom. It is among the most commonly cultivated edible mushroom in the world. Deliciously cooked stir-fry, or mixed into a pot of vegetable soup.

The discovery yellow mushroom.

I found a great website on different types of edible and medicinal mushrooms here at Buzzle.com
