Day 1: BOH Tea Plantation Sungei Palas

Opening hours: Everyday 09:00am - 04:30pm. Closed on Monday
Admission: Free
Website: www.boh.com.my

We arrived at BOH Tea Plantation Sungei Palas around 09:15am. From the main road after Ee Feng Gu Honey Farm, turn right into a small alley. This road is narrow and winding, and you need to be considerate to other drivers as the lane can usually fit one car at a time! An adventurous trip indeed!

We thought we were the early birds! However the carpark was already occupied by tourbus, local as well as foreign tourist cars.

THE BOH TEA VALLEY

The elderly, those with reduced effort tolerance (cepat mengah, penat, semput), knee arthritis or even poorly controlled asthma are advised not to walk up the hill.

Instead, there is a shuttle bus available taking you to the factory area, which is located at the same level as the cafeteria.

The panoramic view of the valley... was worth every climb! Simply majestic... Subhanallah... No man-made creation can ever beat this perfection work of Allah SWT! Just nature at its best!

This BOH Tea Plantation has 8,000 acres of land planted with tea. Making it the largest tea plantation in Southeast Asia.

THE BOH CAFETERIA

This place is well-known for filming Ombak Rindu, starring the smart-sweet-and-sassy Lisa Surihani, the gentleman Aaron Aziz and the classy Pan-Asian Maya Karin.

Husband's having Gold Blend Boh tea, nasi lemak & a set of scone with strawberry jam & butter. The scone was not as fluffy as I expected, but the jam and butter complemented it well.

I had Boh black tea & choc brownie. The magnificent view had made me full already... hehehe...

Pretty costly... almost RM 30 for all the above, but we paid for the view...

Now believe me, every visitor was literally queuing for photography at this scenic spot on the cafe!

The cafe edge hanging on a cliff. Recalling the arguing scene in Ombak Rindu between Lisa and Aaron.

THE TEA-MAKING FACTORY

After breakfast, we browsed around the BOH tea-making exhibition gallery.

There is also a video show room, and tour is free.

This made our trip educational!

THE GIFT SHOP

I love this work-of-art! Square of logs as external deco throughout the corridor connecting the cafeteria to the gift shop.
